WOW Waiting on Wednesday March 6th, 2013

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme started by Jill at Breaking the Spine to show other bloggers the books we can't wait to read. I'll show you mine, then you show me yours!

First up, and look at this cover- I can't decide if it's pretty or eerie or both.

SOME QUIET PLACE BY KELSEY SUTTON
RELEASE DATE JULY 8TH 2013

and this one which I might wait on until the review are out because I just haven't had any luck with gargoyle stories so far. Except for this little flying one in an adult series that I can't review here. The gargoyles I've tried to read are so flat and lifeless. So I'm holding out hope with this one.

This shows the audio edition but there are e-book editions and hard copies.
THE BEAUTIFUL AND THE CURSED BY PAGE MORGAN
RELEASE DATE MAY 14, 2013

So what are you guys looking forward to reading??? Anyone read either of these? Anyone read a good gargoyle story?? Please share with me your links! I'd love to visit you!

  1. I agree the first cover is both pretty and creepy at the same time. I haven't tried any gargoyle stories yet but I do have one I have been wanting to read. It is something a bit different so I am interested in giving this one a try too.

    1. I know I can't tell if those are flowers or leaves. But they are definitely coming apart. Thinking that has something to do with the girl wearing the dress. I really can't wait to read it.

Let me know if you like your gargoyle story.

  3. YES HEATHER!!!! I can't wait for both of these either, they have gorgeous covers and amazing blurbs and I need them in my hands asap. I'm particularly curious about Some Quiet Place and how the whole thing with Fear (I think it's Fear) is going to play out:)

    1. Yeah, is Fear a person or just a presence? And does she find comfort in Fear? That would be weird, but interesting. I never find comfort in Fear, NEVER!

  4. I am in love with these covers especially the one for Some Quiet Place - stunning! The only gargoyle books I have read were adult and they are by C.E. Murphy. The first one is called Heart of Stone.

    1. Krista-
Thanks for stopping by! I don't get to much adult fantasy. I've just had any gargoyle book be adult or blah! The last I tried was Redemption. I didn't care about anyone in that book. It was a DNF for me. I'm still on the hunt. I kind of liked the UK cover better than the US cover because you could actually tell what was what. But this one has more of a fantasy feel.

  5. Oh I wanna try these as well. I know what you mean about not finding certain types of books that work for you. I love mermaids but don't find too many YA that work.

    1. I seem to love every YA mermaid story I read. Maybe because I just love mermaids I'm not too picky. Bewitched Bookworms did a New Adult review of Flukes, I believe a mermaid story. You might like that one.
