WOW Waiting on Wednesday

WOW

Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that allows bloggers and readers to share what they are looking forward to being released in the coming weeks, months, year.

Requiem by Maggie Stiefvater
The last book in Books of Faerie Series!!!!

Yeah, I know, no pretty cover but I've been waiting years for this book. I thought she was never going to write this one.
Comes out later this year!
Even if you didn't like the Wolves of Mercy Falls, give Lament: The Faerie Queen's Deception
and
Ballad: A Gathering of Faeries
a try! Then wait impatiently like I am for Requiem. And hope for a good ending.

What are you waiting for?

    1. To me, these are so much better than the Wolves of Mercy Falls but then I didn't like that series. These, the writing, the story line, everything to me is better. She's harsh, not afraid to hurt her characters, and they've been in limbo so damn long!
I thought the series was finished. This is like a birthday present to me, though it isn't my birthday at all!

    1. I think it is far superior to the Wolves. The story line is really complex and twisted and dark. Really dark. You know the Fae. And she's really good with them. I can't wait!

  5. I had no idea that there was going to be another book. Yay! Great pick.

    1. You're welcome. Didn't you feel like it was unfinished? I sure did. I'm hoping for an HEA, but I'm not counting on it.

  8. oh gosh. I had totally forgotten about these earlier Maggie books. I must read them. I personally adored Wolves of Mercy Falls. I thought the writing was magical and gorgeous but I was a bit disappointed in the Raven Boys, the writing was missing something. I will be watching for this. I noticed you are putting comments on the approval thing... man you took away my fun!

    1. You should have seen the comments I deleted yesterday. You would have had a fun time! There were four!

These are better than the Wolves books which I didn't like. IMHO, and I think you will like them. They are really dark.
